Course Aims
The aim of this course is to give learners the knowledge and skills required to use the
Malnutrition Universal Screening Tool (‘MUST’) which has been designed to help identify adults who are underweight and at risk of malnutrition, as well as those who are obese (it has not been designed to detect deficiencies in or excessive intakes of vitamins and minerals). MUST is designed to be used for all new service users and thereafter for periodic reviews.
This course is aimed at managers, nurses, medical practitioners and experience care staff who are responsible for the management, assessment and review of people in care.
