HI, my name is Carol Kennedy, I have worked in health and social care for over 40 years. I am a registered nurse and a professional health and social care trainer.
I was one of the first NVQ Assessors when it first started, and this was what got me so passionate about being a trainer. I have worked in all settings including hospitals, care homes, nursing homes, day centres with a special interest in Learning Disabilities and Mental Health.
I enjoy all the subjects which I train however my speciality is clinical nurse skills and learning disabilities. I believe that with the knowledge and skills I have learnt over the years this enables me to put into practice when I am teaching a more bespoke personalised training session. I believe that putting practical sessions and workshops into my training promotes a more professional learning environment.
I first started working with Twynham Training over 7 years ago as a subcontractor, however I took a break and went back into nursing for a while, to me this made an impact on updating my own clinical skills to enable to put them into my training programmes.
I am very excited about having returned to Twynham Training and am looking forward to the way ahead with the new launch and working with such an exciting new team.
